We understand that as a professional contractor your time is precious, so we’ve made sure that choosing your accountant and going Solo is a simple process.

Step 1 – Face to face or telephone meeting...

To begin with you will have a meeting with one of our Directors either in person or via telephone. During this time we will gather all the information that we need to ensure that we provide you with the best possible service.

Step 2 – Formal engagement procedure...

Once you are happy that you would like to go Solo we will complete our formal appointment procedures and issue a letter of engagement which sets out our respective responsibilities and terms and conditions for your agreement.

Step 3 – Provide us with your records...

To enable us to provide the best level of customer service to you as a client, we provide guidance below in the information that we will require from you on an annual basis:

Complete business records

You provide us with your complete business records to ensure that any tax or accounting issues are identified and dealt with when the annual accounts are prepared.

Bookkeeping records

We assist you in your bookkeeping by providing spreadsheet templates for you to complete with your bank, cash, and card transactions. Templates are also available for you to use to complete with your sales and VAT records. These are accessed through the mysolo online portal, which you will be given access to once you have registered.

Step 4 – Ongoing Communication...

We will keep you informed of any changes in legislation which may affect your business.  We ask you to inform us of any changes in your circumstances during the year on an on-going basis so that you are always assured of timely and appropriate advice.
